CURATOR’S VIEW: The artwork titled "Transcendence" is an abstract painting that portrays a sense of elevation or spiritual ascension. The composition features a blend of upward-moving brushstrokes and a palette of soothing colours like blues, purples, and whites, creating a feeling of lightness and upward movement. On the left, we see a narrow, gloomy, heavy world, overcrowded by shadows, seemingly monks in black robes, praying. On the right, above the clouds, we see a golden city, bright and peaceful. Between the two worlds, there are clouds and fog, in the central area of the painting, lighter, almost glowing, which could represent the enlightenment the title suggests. The style of the painting is fluid and appears to be inspired by the concept of transcendence, which often refers to going beyond ordinary limits or surpassing physical boundaries. The artwork might evoke feelings of peace, serenity, and the sublime, as it invites the viewer to contemplate notions of higher states of being or consciousness.

ARTIST’S CONCEPT: In creating this piece, I sought to explore the intangible: the dance between the physical realm and the depths of our consciousness. My brushstrokes in acrylic, unrestrained yet intentional, breathe life into this abstract landscape. Interplay of colours and textures forms a metaphysical tapestry, inviting viewers to a journey beyond the seen. Let it wash your space with a sense of wonder, igniting thoughts of the beyond and the beauty of the enigmatic.
