CURATOR’S VIEW: The image is a highly abstract painting, featuring a central golden figure that appears to be in a process of emerging from a cocoon-like structure. The figure is surrounded by vibrant and swirling colours of blue, red, orange, and yellow, creating a sense of motion and energy. The painting conveys a feeling of renewal and rebirth, with a dynamic and somewhat chaotic atmosphere, that is typical of abstract expressionism. For me, “Rebirthing” is about reaching the cosmic awakening through perfect sublimation of the human body. All ancient cultures had the idea of supreme awakening linked - a way or another - to the Divine Feminine, the Feminine Divine Presence of God, Mahashakti, Shechinah, Ar-Ra’uf, Gaia, Sophia or Pachamama…
