CURATOR’S VIEW: The "Tree of Life (Polyptych)" is a multi-panel artwork that represents the symbolic and universal concept of the Tree of Life. The composition is spread across ten connected panels, each contributing to the overall image of a tree. The tree is depicted with intricate branches and roots that weave together like spheres, symbolizing connectivity and the cycle of life. The colour scheme is a harmonious blend of earthy tones, greens, and hints of vibrant colours that suggest life and vitality. The style is a fusion of realism and abstraction, with the tree rendered in a suggestive manner while the surrounding elements have a more fluid, abstract quality. The panels together create a narrative, leading the viewer's eye across the artwork to discover the different aspects and details of the tree. At a first glance, they look like baubles in a Christmas Tree, until we look closer and realise, they may also look like planets - a galaxy if we look up, or cells if we look down.
